You might remember Kristin Gundred (aka Dee Dee Dum Dum) hanging up clothes at The Buffalo Exchange on 5th Ave a couple years back..now see her on her (kindof) hometown stage in those famous striped tights with the rest of the Dum Dum Girls, and get dum over their smart, skuzzy, girl group garage rock. The opening acts are nothing to scoff at either. The pretty, gauzy noise of Brooklyn-based Minks, layered with dreamy emphatic vocals will hurt your heart in a good way, while the one man band who is Dirty Beaches will have you convinced you're listening to the slightly psychedelic apparition of Johnny Cash, backlight by dusty lamp shades and slowed down with the aid of a glass full of good, smooth, room temperature whiskey. - Crystal Clem
