A week before the Grand Opening, we popped into the once Airport Lounge and soon-to-be El Camino to find Juan (Tocayo) and Abe (Exist 1981) drinking Coronas and wheatpasting like mad men, while co-owner Mauricio was touching up a metallic gold skull.
While touring the new digs, Mauricio chatted us up about his floral patterned stools, new air hockey table and how he and Juan initially met. We walked out a half an hour later knowing we just found our new favorite hang out in San Diego, and have been counting down the hours to Wednesday's opening ever since. Until then here are a few photos and a rad video from Exist 1981.
