The Silent Comedy
Disposable camera photos from Silent Comedy's west coast tour w/ Mississippi Man. *Click on photos to enlarge.
It is the belief of The Silent Comedy that you can’t get a good burrito outside of San Diego… This taco cart in Los Angeles supported that view.
These exquisitely carved wood panels at our friend Tiffany’s house, pale in comparison to Justin’s ‘stache.
La Cave in Costa Mesa is a small system of underground rooms that includes a bar and restaurant. I’m pretty sure that we were breaking some fire ordinances.
Justin and Joe making the climb out of the depths of La Cave.
Preparing for an acoustic webcast at Justin.tv headquarters in San Francisco.
Ian plucks the ol’ fiddle strings in the Justin.tv war room.
The van battery couldn’t keep up with us, so we had to get a jump on the mean streets of San Francisco.
If someone is going to jump your car battery, you want them to be named Hawk, have neck tattoos, and have to move a gigantic duffel bag of hockey gear to access his jumper cables.
A deck of cards is a necessary part of any touring kit. Justin and Tim take full advantage in the back of the van.
Tim on the phone with Proctor & Gamble customer service… Complaining that the new Pringles are not crispy enough.
Ladies/Western night at the Cantina in Corvallis, Oregon. $1 beers.
Chad felt that some “percussion lessons” were in order for these new friends.
After the show, we barred the doors and had a little private jam session with the Mississippi Men.
Pat, Scott, and Dave… Kickin’ the jamz.
Chad made sure to get contact info… For future percussion lessons.
The great blue sky on the road from Oregon to California. Mt. Shasta in the background.
Letters on the window of this machine read “Experimental”. As if it wasn’t apparent.
Ingredients for cocktail success in Sacramento.
The load out in Sacramento.
Sazerac Rye… A spicy, tasty, shot of caramel.
Shots, shots, shots!
Lindsey Cook and I were on a search for the best background in the grocery store… Mission accomplished.
We happened to stop at the most picturesque Taco Bell in California. It called for an impromptu photo shoot.
Seven men, hundreds of pounds of gear, and two gigantic pieces of machinery.
The Mint Patio in Bakersfield. An unlikely place to have an amazing show.
Back at our production space, the van is unloaded, and the bed is disassembled. Another tour in the history books.
