Brooklyn-based artist Emilio Perez has recently completed his residency work at Lux Art Institute in Encinitas. Perez spent an entire month layering latex and acrylic colors on a giant wood panel, and then digging back into the layers with an exacto blade. If you'd like to see this massive piece in person, you've got six more days to do so.
