Some thoughts on Street Scene
Although the line up is a bit weaker than last years', I'm pretty pumped for Street Scene this weekend. Below is my chronological map, with some samplings to help you navigate Friday and Saturday.
Since the lines will probably be horrendous, I'll most likely miss Dirty Sweet, and will make my way straight to the Casbah Stage for Wavves. I didn't catch any of their few San Diego shows, so I'm excited to experience the hype, but am expecting to be left longing for Fantastic Magic. I am stoked on this video montage from thier euro tour though.
About 3/4's of the way through Wavves' set, I'll be sprinting through the crowd to secure a good spot for Band of Horses. They are so damn good live, don't miss it!
My next hour will be split between Conor Oberst and Matt & Kim, with the following split between Modest Mouse and Girl Talk. I'll then be bouncing early... I could give two shits about Fergie shaking her lady humps.
Day two starts with Crocodiles, who I need to track down so I can retreive their disposable cameras from tour. They should be pretty tight after the last few months on the road.
I'll spend a bit of time at Ra Ra Riot and Los Campensinos, before pounding 4 beers in preparation for my Of Montreal / Faint dance party from 6:40 - 8:30. If you missed our Sasquatch coverage, check out the madness.
My evening will finish with No Age, Delta Spirit and a strong sense of accomplishment. Hope to see you there -- follow Sezio on Twitter for some updates.
