Miike Snow

Belly Up | 6/1/2010

Miike Snow brought a festival-ready performance to the Belly Up's smallish stage Tuesday night.  A performance I drove 11 hours straight from Utah to witness.  Some thought I was crazy, but it was well worth the drive.  The band emerged from a sea of fog sporting Phantom of the Opera masks for their opening few songs.  The sold out crowd's energy built with each elongated version of standout tracks like Cult Logic and Black & Blue.  The night culminated with Animal, and 600 people screaming "Money! Money, Money!"
