Pacific Beach is one of the last San Diego communities to welcome contemporary culture.  Sandwiched between a DJ booth and a Padres banner, I attended a small art show for OB Artists Colin Gayle and Dustin Pettit.  I really enjoyed their pop art / graffiti style, but kept wondering about the nature of this show... It's hard to tell whether The Tap Room was genuinely trying to provide exposure for local artists or convince Colin and Dustin to invite 20 friends out to buy beer and food. Or does the motivation or setting matter...?
