Irradio to release "I am the Horn"

Fresh off their trip to SXSW, Irradio is set to release an album for the ages.  Led by the soulful lyrics of Dan Dasher and backed by the looping saxophone of Steven Welker, Irradio's reincarnation has been a successful one.  Produced by Mitch Wilson (No Knife), I am the Horn was recorded as one musical piece, but there a definitely a few standout tracks; check out Initiation on their Myspace.

Sunday, April 26th will be your first chance to grab a copy, when Irradio headlines the Casbah with support from Sayvinyl, Students & Demasiado.

Live at Luce Loft : March 25 - 29

The week has finally arrived, and anticipation is high... I've spent the last three days craigslisting free couches and hauling them downtown. The Loft is looking pretty sweet. What makes me most excited about this week is how pumped the bands are; here's some news and rumors I've heard floating around.

Calico Horse and Demasiado have been working on a top-secret cover to close out their show.

The Donkeys are hauling their piano down to the loft, and have arranged a special set for the intimate vibe.

The Paddle Boat just got back from Oregon, recording their full length. Luce Loft's acoustics + The Paddle Boat = I can't f-ing wait..!

Writer is back from an inspiring and successful SXSW trip, and probably tighter than ever.

Demasiado has a re-tooled lineup, welcoming Clayton back to the band. (stoked)

Swim Party is the only band to have played Luce Loft, and seems to be well prepared for round two.

Joel P West has a full string section and new stand up bass player.

The Silent Comedy boys are in a van to SF right now, but will be back in time for the show. I'm stoked their bringing the Mike Maxwell backdrop down.

John Meeks is the man, and it never hurts to have Jimmy Lavalle and Brian Holwerda in your band...

Black Mamba has a newly mastered EP, that's being sent off to press. Excited to hear the new trakcs live.

If you weren't able to grab tickets at Subtext, find one of the bands, they each have 20 tickets to their respective shows. Or you can email us at info@sezio.org and we'll work out a guest list / pay at the door, but you need to RSVP ahead of time.

MVM : Black Mamba

One of the bands that I am really looking forward to seeing at this week's Live at Luce Loft series is Black Mamba. For reasons out of my control I keep missing seeing them live. Luckily for me (and you), they will be opening up our week long event with Writer on Wednesday night. I have been creeping on their myspace to see their live vids from touring with The Album Leaf. Pretty cool. Here they are playing "Smoke and Mirrors" in Seattle.
