Golden Hill Street Fair : July 22nd

Sezio is delighted to announce our participation and curation of the revived Golden Hill Street Fair, coming up on Sunday, July 22nd.  After an eight year hiatus, the Greater Golden Hill Community Development Corporation reached out to Sezio (whose offices are located in Golden Hill) to help them relaunch the street fair.  Both parties agreed that we should celebrate Golden Hill's rich artistic community by highlighting local musicians, artists, and businesses.

With many of our favorite bands and musicians living within blocks of 25th street, our choices for the main stage were pretty easy.  Drum roll please...

5pm - The Donkeys
4pm - Cuckoo Chaos
3pm - The Tree Ring
2pm - Little Deadman
1pm - Jeans Wilder
12pm - Family Wagon

Complimenting the music, there will be live screen printing with Golden Hill based artist collective Yeller, along with an interactive art wall hosted by Artist & Craftsman SupplyStone Brewing Co. will host a craft beer garden, NewGrass is setting up a pop-up park, and local grub will be provided by Alchemy, Giorgino's and MIHO Gastrotruck's latest endeavor, Stand & Delivery.  There will also be a courtesy Bike Valet run by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, so ride your bikes!

The Golden Hill Street Fair is going down Sunday, July 22nd from 11am to 6pm on 25th Street between B St. and C St.  The event is FREE and open to ALL AGES! We hope to see you there!

This event is made possible by the City of San Diego, through their Economic Development Tourism Support Grant.

Photos : The Tree Ring @ Luce Loft

The Tree Ring amazed all of us last week at Luce Loft, performing new material for the first time and with an expanded line up featuring some fine musicians from Camarada.  Friend and collaborater Wes Bruce spent his evening climbing all over the loft taken photos from every angle.  As you'll notice in the pictures below, the evening benefitted greatly from a beautiful light installation courtesy of Typewriter Boneyard. (See these photos in full size on Sezio's Facebook Page)

Here's a full statement from the band, and a clip from their partial rehearsal at Luce Loft last night...

June 14th, 2012 will mark four years from the day that Sezio took over Luce Loft for the very first time, launching to the world and featuring a performance by San Diego song writer Joel P West.  We're excited to announce that Joel's band, The Tree Ring, along with some special guests will be performing Thursday, June 14th at Luce Loft.  The Tree Ring will be debuting new songs from their forthcoming record, which is being funded by San Diego Foundation's Creative Catalyst Program

There are only 150 tickets available for this special performance, so we highly suggest you purchase them now.  The show is All Ages, with doors opening at 7pm and music starting at 8pm.

Beach Fossils : New EP, San Diego Show

We've been a fan of NYC's Beach Fossils for some time now, ever since their self titled, 2010 debut and their Sezio-presented show at Bar Pink that summer. A couple EPs and world tours later, and we're still following the Brooklyn four-piece closely. On Friday night, they'll be headlining an All Ages show at The Irenic in North Park (presented by Soda Bar & Art Fag Recordings). Grab your tickets to the show here, and check out two new tracks from Beach Fossils below.

Either way, buy your tickets here for Friday!
