Seemingly Perfect

Son Lux: At War with Walls and Mazes

Anticon | Mar 2008

Sounds like: Radiohead, Jel, Bjork, Sigur ros, Prefuse 73, Portishead, Massive attack, Garbage.

This seemingly perfect album has managed to captivate my attention for the past  few months.  The sonic vibe and musical sense from Son Lux is outer worldly.  At war with Walls and Mazes seams as if it was written to follow a sad screen play that was lost between a symphony and a hip hop record collection.  With each continuous track the artist sews emotion to each word leaving a lasting impact on the listener.  The musicianship on this album is almost unfathomable as the sonic vibe that emits from the CD seems to be composed of every instrument known to man.  This was an overlooked album that I found to be amazing. At War With Walls and Mazes, will leave you in a speechless world of bliss.  I strongly recommend Son Lux to a fan of any of the bands listed above.

digg this. love it. Your post is dead on. It does sound like a sad movie symphony in the hood. Thanks for the suggestion!
