We're excited to bring another local film premiere to the Museum of Photographic Art in Balboa Park early next month. Thursday, September 8th will mark the first public screening of Working Class a new feature-length documentary from Jeffery Durkin of Breadtruck Films. Working Class is a tale of two cities through the eyes of artists Mike Giant (SF) and Mike Maxwell (SD). Both artists will be in attendance for the premiere event which also features a live performance by The Silent Comedy. Year of Hibernation is aptly titled for two reasons; first, the year Trevor Powers spent in his Boise bedroom crafting these amazing recordings, and second the year I want to spend in my bedroom soaking them in. Little Italy's Igloo shop shut it's doors over the weekend, after a long run of providing quality design related products in San Diego. Founder Gary Benzel has some new ideas up his sleeve that we'll be sure to keep you posted on. Photographer Charles Bergquist stopped by for a t-shirt and to snap a few photos.
