Urbanist Guide is Out!

Trying to find good eats and drinks in a new city without having a local to point you in the right direction can be a total drag.  Luckily for visitors to San Diego, Nate Benedetto has packaged up the inside scoop into a slick little publication with easy-to-navigate tips on the spots that are actually worth going to.  It's exactly what you wish you could have when you visit other cities and, unlike most tourist publications for your own city, I would bet that most San Diegans haven't been to all of the great spots featured by the guide.  Pick up a copy at any of their featured business, which can be found on the Urbanist website, and to kick it off right, Urbanist Guide is celebrating with a launch party tomorrow night at U31.  It's VIP until 11:00, but come anytime after to catch Swim Party and DJ Disc-O free of charge.

The Habitat Announces Summer Schedule

If you haven't seen a show at the Habitat yet, you're missing one of San Diego's best musical experiences.  The low-key house venue has put together a solid lineup of shows for the summer and I don't anticipate missing any of them.

White Rabbits @ The Casbah

I've seen White Rabbits once before, and can hardly remember who they opened for.  Their dueling drum players captivated The El Rey, and I've been excited to see them headline a show ever since.  Check out their newest release Percussion Gun and come out this Wednesday to The Casbah.

This music video for "Hey You" by Pony Pony Run Run has me daydreaming extra longlingly out my office window. I want to take a vacation NOW. Not only is the video amazing but the song is the new summer jam.
