Four Day Weekend : DJs & After Parties

Four Day Weekend is far more than just a four night concert series happening November 10th through the 13th. Sezio plans on taking over North Park for the majority of this week, getting a bunch of our favorite people and places involved. Here's a run down of the planned festivities.

Tuesday, November 8th Sezio and FM 94/9 will host a happy hour at El Take It Easy (pictured above) on 30th Street from 5 to 6pm. 94/9 will be raffling off Four Day Weekend tickets during one of their weekly Random Acts of Kindness. Cruise by for a happy hour beer and your chance to win a four-day pass for free!

Friday, November 11th after night #2 featuring Dirty Gold, Oregon Bike Trails, and Rafter, Sezio will host an after party at The Linkery. There will be late night snacks, drink specials and a DJ set by Rafter.

Saturday, November 12th the brothers Ralph of Writer will DJ El Take It Easy after their show with Lord Huron and So Many Wizards.

Saturday & Sunday our buddies from MIHO Gastrotruck will be serving up fresh, local food right outside of Sunset Temple. Come early and hungry, MIHO will be set up from 8pm-11pm both nights.

Each concert at Four Day Weekend will feature a local music tastemaker playing tunes in between bands. Here's our full lineup with each night's DJ:

Thursday, November 10th: Peter Wolf Crier, Birds & Batteries, and Chairs Missing w/ DJ Meth Combz (Seth Combs)

Friday, November 11th: Dirty Gold, Oregon Bike Trails, and Rafter w/ DJ Carly Asada (Carly Ealey)

Saturday, November 12th: Lord Huron, Writer, and So Many Wizards w/ DJ Falcon Hood (Charles Bergquist)

Sunday, November 13th: Real Estate, Big Troubles, and Little Deadman w/ DJ Mario Orduno (from Art Fag Recordings)

Youth Lagoon @ SDRL

This past Labor Day weekend Trevor Powers left Boise for his first string of shows outside of Idaho under his musical moniker Youth Lagoon. Before his impressive performance that night at Tin Can Alehouse, we snagged him and his guitar player Logan for a quick session at SDRL. All of two months later and Youth Lagoon already has an east coast tour with Gardens & Villa under their belt, plus a smash hit debut record touting a Best New Music credential from Pitchfork.

YL kicks off their first headline US tour in San Francisco on the 1st, and will be making their debut appearance at The Casbah this Thursday with Young Magic and Range Rover. Grab your tickets early before the show sells out!

*Update* Photos from Youth Lagoon's sold out Casbah show can be seen on Pitchfork here.
