Carly sent me this song a while back, and I can't seem wear it out. Jessica Lea Mayfield has a mature, sultry voice for the ripe age of 19 and happens to be playing at The Loft at UCSD this Saturday. Check out We've Never Lied and our week's trivia question below.

This weekend, Zack, Joel, and I took the bay area by storm. On Friday, we plummeted through the redwoods into Santa Cruz in Zack's big blue Land Criuser and turned the stereo up to the sweet sounds of Dirty Projectors. I have forever synched that beautiful memory now with this song “Stillness Is The Move.”
Joel captured this with his new phone..

On July 13th, the Belly Up will be hosting two great bands from the Pacific Northwest, Blitzen Trapper and Loch Lomond. Since both bands hail from my mistress city of Portland, we've got some trivia for you to Google for a chance to win tickets to the show.
Portland's name was settled by a coin toss to decide between the names of the two founders' hometowns. What was the other possible name?
The first person who sends the correct answer to info@sezio.org will be put on the guest list +1.

Before ever realizing these guys were from San Diego, I was taking advantage of their internet buzz via mp3 downloads galore. With their song "I Wanna Kill" blowing up the local radio stations now, Crocodiles are no longer a blogger secret. Here is their video for "Refuse Angels". Catch em live at Street Scene in August!

Over the long weekend of mural painting and surfing sunburns, a friend introduced me to this awesome band, Fanfarlo. Immediately reminiscent of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and summertime, I took a liking to them. Here is their music video for "Harold T. Wilkins." Turn it up and then head over to fanfarlo.com where you can buy their album for $1 dolla until July 4th!
