Following in the footsteps of fellow East Coast chill-wavers Toro y Moi and Washed Out, MillionYoung is fronted by South Florida's own Mike Diaz. He's released a couple free, incredibly catchy EPs on his website, and it appears that a full lenght is on the horizon. Get familiar with a few of his jams before MillionYoung hits The Casbah next Tuesday (12.07) w/ Teen Daze.

Owen Ashworth has been constructing home-made beats under the moniker Casiotone For The Painfully Alone since 1997. His list of collaborators over the past 13 years is lengthy, including San Diego's own Donkeys for a few tours, a split 7 inch, and a couple Daytrotter sessions. As Owen prepares to put CFTPA to rest, he's scheduled a fairwell tour which kicks off this Friday at Soda Bar. Secure your tickets here, and check out some of our favorite Casiotone clips from over the years...

The fabled Golden Hill venue, Habitat House, will re-open its doors this Sunday with performances from Cry For Us Black Swans, and The Vision Of A Dying World. Both acts will be represented by their front man only, Jon Piotrowski, and Jackson Milgaten, respectively. Below are two of my favorite tracks from all of 2010, and I can't wait to hear them in the comfort of a beautiful, huge living room. For future Habitat happenings, keep up with their blog, facebook, and twitter. See you this Sunday around 7pm.
